The U.S. Soring Deficit!

The Debate over a Government (Public) Health Care Bill is Heating Up!

  • Certain facts about enacting such a public system are known and must be considered in any discussion.

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) previously estimated the Federal Deficit would escalate to nearly $10 trillion dollars over the next 10 years. The Obama Administration vehemently disagreed with the CBO estimate providing its own estimate of only $7.1 trillion.

The White House (WH) recently revised it estimate and increased the projected debt over the next 10 years.

The U.S. Debt will, per the White House recent revision, increase to $9.1 trillion dollars. (I suggest you don’t rule out the CBO estimate!)

Payment to China is about $1.2 billion dollars monthly.

In 5 to 6 years the interest on the U.S. National Debt will far exceed our National Defense Budget.

We continue to borrow about $5 billion dollars every day.

While States and Businesses are cutting expenditures the Federal Government continues to increase spending.

WHAT’S WRONG WITH THIS FORMULA?

Can we afford this type of reckless spending?

Can we afford the added cost of a Government (Socialist) Health Care System?

What about CAP & TRADE? Can you afford to have your Electric Bill triple (in Obama’s words – SKYROCKET!)?

Government Controlled Health Care Systems (Socialized Medicine) has resulted in price controls and Salary setting for medical professionals in all countries employing socialized medicine (the so-called Public Option). The results have been a reduction in the quality of treatment and a rationing of health care. Why would it be any different if a Government Health Care System Bill (again Public Option) is enacted by Congress for citizens (and Illegals – yes they’re included) in the United States?

YOU OWE IT TO YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO ASK SERIOUS QUESTIONS ABOUT OUR GOVERNMENT'S PATH TO DESTRUCTIVE SPENDING AND SOCIALISM. IF YOU DON'T KNOW THE ANSWERS DO THE NECESSARY RESEARCH TO GET THE ANSWER. AND THEN ASKED SPECIFIC QUESTIONS AND DEMAND DIRECT AND SPECIFIC ANSWERS FROM YOUR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVE. THEN RESEARCH THOSE ANSWERS FOR ACCURACY TOO. (JUST LOOK AT CANADA, ENGLAND AND GERMANY. DO WE WANT THAT KIND OF HEALTH SYSTEM?)

Government Controlled Health Care!

To those of you that are still confused by all the talk about a Government Health Care System versus a “Free Market” system lets keep the discussion simple. Your already know much about the existing system – it has some problems and could use some repair. No argument from most citizens on that issue. But, the real question is do you want to discard the current system for a Government (Socialist) Health Care System (Yes, it will be a Socialist System)? Please take a look at the following information on Canada’s Taxation System. I believe it will help you make your decision.

CANADA’S SOCIALIST TAX SYSTEM

Income taxes in Canada provides for the majority of the annual revenue of the Canadian Government and its provinces (70%). Last fiscal year the Government collected about three times more personal income taxes than it did corporate income taxes.

Federal tax rates for 2009 are:

15% on the first $40,726 of taxable income, +
22% on the next $40,726 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income between $40,726 and $81,452), +
26% on the next $44,812 of taxable income (on the portion of taxable income between $81,452 and $126,264), +
29% of taxable income over $126,264

Provincial/Territorial tax rates for 2009: Ontario (as an example)

6.05% on the first $36,848 of taxable income, +9.15% on the next $36,850, +11.16% on the amount over $73,698

Personal Income taxes do not include taxes on the following:

Sales Tax
Value Added Tax or VAT (tax on goods and services in addition to Sales Tax – now 5%)
Property Tax
Excise Tax (tax on cigarettes, alcohol, gasoline & vehicle Air Conditioners)
Health & Prescription Tax
Payroll Taxes (12 % of Canada’s revenue)
Capital Gains Tax

FACTS:

Personal Income Tax accounts for 40% of Canada’s revenue (Government Income).

70% of Canada’s revenue (Government Income) comes from Taxation on its citizens in some form of tax (personal and corporate).

The major portion of a worker’s income in Canada goes to the Government in a form of TAXATION!!!!

WAKE UP CITIZENS – DO THE MATH!!! You do not need politicians, radio talk show host (left or right wing), Liberal/Socialist, Republican or Conservative citizens or anyone else’s direction on this matter. If Obama and his Socialist Administration is allowed to institutionalize a Government (so call public plan) Health Care System you are in BIG trouble. They have not provided any specifics on how the Government Plan will be paid for, only several lies to get you off focus, because they DON’T WANT YOU TO KNOW! Look at Canada’s taxation system and you will have the answer. NO SUCH GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE SYSTEM CAN BE PAID FOR WITHOUT EVERYONE CARING A HEAVY TAX BURDEN. It is the same in every Socialist System – HIGH TAXATION. Don’t be fooled by Obama’s ruse that everyone making under $250,000 annually will receive a tax cut – only the rich will pay for the Government’s plan. IT IS JUST NOT POSSIBLE!!! The middle class will ultimately end up paying the bulk of the Government Health Plan.

About Rationing of Health Care – it’s inevitable! The constant growing cost of a Socialist Health Care System (Government Plan) will always cause it to reach a point where rationing will be the only way to keep it affordable (if that term can be use). Any reasonably intelligent person knows that fact. It has happened under every Government Health Care Plan.

IN MY OPINION A HEALTH CARE SYSTEM LIKE CANADA’S IS A POOR TRADE OFF FOR WHAT U.S. CITIZENS HAVE NOW. FOR THE AMOUNT IT COSTS CANADA’S CITIZENS THE CANADIAN HEALTH SYSTEM IS POOR QUALITY IN COMPARISON TO OURS.

I say Congress should buckle down and come up with a plan to make our health care system, a good system by all comparison, better and more affordable.

BUT, YOU DECIDE! AND THEN, LET YOUR CONGRESSIONAL REPRESENTATIVE KNOW WHAT YOU WANTAND BE SPECIFIC AND FORCEFUL. RECENTLY A DEMOCRAT CONGRESSMAN SAID THE U.S. IS A REPUBLIC (TRUE) AND NOT A DEMOCRACY (TRUE) HE REFERRED TO THE CITIZENS OBJECTING TO THE GOVERNMENT HEALTH PLAN. BUT, IT SEEMS HE FORGOT THAT IN THIS “REPUBLIC” HE IS CONSTITUTIONALLY WORKING FOR THE CITIZENS.

RECENT UPDATE (AUGUST 20,2009): DR. BRIAN DAY, FORMER HEAD OF CANADA’S MEDICAL ASSOCIATION SAID TODAY DURING A TELEVISION INTERVIEW THAT THE PRINCIPLE PROBLEMS WITH THE CANADIAN SYSTEM WERE:

1. ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE. (1 MIL WERE WAITING SURGERY AND ANOTHER 1 MIL WERE WAITING TO SEE SPECIALIST FOR SURGERY.)
2. RATIONING
3. COST – BEYOND THE TAXES TAKEN MANY CANADIANS MUST PURCHASE PRIVATE INSURANCE TO GET PRESCRIPTION AND EMERGENCY TREAMENT.
4. QUALITY OF CARE

MOST CANADIAN WANT TO COPY THE U.S. HEALTH CARE SYSTEM. WHY WOULD WE WANT TO COPY THEIR IMPLODING SYSTEM.

How Does Socialism Affect You?

This article on socialism links to the World Net Daily Article titled, " What's wrong with socialism"? Joseph Farah, World Net Daily, wrote a well defining article about the inherent effects of socialism on society. His statement that Americans had been duped and could look forward to an education on Socialism over the forthcoming two years from Obama’s failed policies is playing out to be correct. Where he called Socialist a “virus” I believe it is more like “cancerous.” If the Obama administration gets its way with Government run Health Care (the so-called Public Plan Option) we will experience just how costly “free” health care really is. By the time this administration get through spreading the wealth around there won’t be any jingle left in our pockets.

I hope Joseph Farah is wrong in his assessment that Americans will have to experience the effects of Socialism to get educated on just how wrong it is for America. No one should experience that kind of misery and loss of control simply to get America back on track. Certainly this country’s citizens are smarter than that. Surely, we’re intelligent enough to realize that:

Socialism is based on lies and deception and the creation of a need for dependence on the Government.

Without a re-distribution of wealth it can’t be sustained. (That’s you earnings being given to others.)

It creates a system of increasing cost that will always require increases in personal and corporate taxes. (That’s increase taxes on everyone – there are not enough rich folks to carry the full burden.)

The demand to increase the tax base will ultimately reach a level of unsustainability and result in health care rationing and poorer quality treatment. (And for you doctors, eventually price controls will become a part of the package.)

Much of what we see now as our citizen’s rights will disappear because Socialism cannot exist with them in place.

I have seen Socialism in practice up close and found it to make promises of the golden egg; only to deliver a lesser quality and more expensive quality of life. It was built promoting a dependence on the Government, not you own innovation and motivation to succeed. If anything it stifles motivation and creates a welfare system. Something our forefathers branded as a drain on society and the creation of the lazy a few hundred years ago.

Stand up now before you get an education you don’t want to experience. Look at Canada, England, Germany and other Socialist states and learn from their mistakes. Socialism has not work effectively anywhere.
